Certificates Nos. 1, 2, and 3 will, I presume,

be retained as

Office Vouchers, but these

documents from 4 to 17 inclusive are

certificates of position and character,

and

may be necessary to me hereafter.

They

may be forwarded via Bombay.

I therefore most respectfully request that application may be made to the Board of Admiralty for an order

for a Contract Passage for me to Hongkong

by any Steamer from Southampton in

October.
